Basic Intro

Bhutan has also some of the best trekking route on earth and Druk Path trek comes on the very popular list of Bhutan Trekking Routes. It’s short and scenic trek which offers some of the best magnificent views of natural Bhutan. This trek is not too strenuous as walking because of the less distances between the camps. You can have the impressive look of the beautiful lake of Janetso while trekking. The campsite is close to the Lake Jimilangtso. These lakes are known for their giant sized trout and if lucky you may enjoy a well-prepared lake trout for dinner. Moreover, the Phadjoding monastery is another highlight of this trek. The trail follows the ridge and on a clear day the view of the mountains and valley are beautiful.

Useful Information

Autumn (October to December) is the best seasons for the Druk Path Trek. The weather is sunny and warm with outstanding views of mountains. During winter (Dec., Jan. and Feb.) could also be an option but from April the climate remains dry and pleasant. However, the temperature during winter could be harsh for most guests. Tour in the Monsoon seasons (June to Aug.) will be affected by rain. If you’re interested in seeing the rare black – necked cranes, we recommend visiting the Phobjikha Vally between late October and mid-February.
