Pasupatinath temple is a
famous, sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lorde Shiva. Temple is located eastern
side of Kathmandu, bank of Bagmati River and near to International Airport.
This temple is considered as one of the sacred temple of Hindu faith. This
temple was billed by Lichhavi kingin 15thcentury
and complex is on UNESCO World Heritage site’s list since 1979. Pasupatinath
temple is busy on one of the major festival maha shivaratri, where more than
500,000 devoted visit here. Only Hindu is allowed inside the gate of the main
temple. The inner sanctum has a Shiva lingam and outside
sits the largest statue of Nandi the bull, the vehicle of Shiva. There is more
than hundreds of Shiva lingam within the
compound. There is also site for body crimination in the bank of Bagmati River
where the last ritual of Hindu is performing. The gate of pasupatinath temple
opens at 4 in the morning to late 7 in the evening. Where, aarati begins form 5
Guhyeshwori temple is also one
of the religious holly temples in Kathmandu valley which is nearby Pasupatinath
temple. It is said that this temple is shakti chain of pasupatinath temple.
This temple was billed by pratap malla on 17th century.
The origin name of temple came from Sanskrit word Guhya “Secret” and ishwari
means “goddess”. It is believed that people who want to gain strength visit
this temple to worship mother goddess. Most of the people from Nepal came to
visit this temple during main festival Hindu “Danshai”.
Jalanarayan temple also known
as Budhanilkanth Temple is located in budhanilkantha below the shivapuri hills,
which is 1 hour drive from hotel. This temple is Hindus open temple dedicated
to Lord Vishnu where the large recline statue of Lord Vishnu can be identified.
Muktinath temple is one of the
sacred and famous pilgrim’s places for both Buddhist and Hindu religious
located in Muktinath valley in altitude of 3710 meter from sea level. Muktinath
also coverthe popular trekking called Annapurna circuit from which start from
Besisahar and end at Jomsom(12 Days/Pokhara(17 Days).Hindu believes that lord
Vishnu got salvation from curse of Brinda (wife of Jalandhar) here. Therefore
he is worshipped as Muktinath (Lit. the lord of salvation). There are some of
the attraction places in and nearby Muktinath temple. Mukti Kunda; two holly
pond located in font Muktinath Temple, Mukti Dhara; 108 bull head shape water
spouts in back yard of temple which is continuously flow through Gandaki River
and many more place like Jwala Mai Temple, Mharma lha khang gompa etc.
